Tuesday

September 9 to 17, 2008

September 9, 2008 - Tuesday . I took this while I was driving to school that morning.

In the afternoon that same day, It started getting cool and pretty soon It was raining.

It feels like summer is saying goodbye. I feel the weather changing gradually. letting go of the warmer days is a bit sad sometimes. But there are good things that come with the changing of the season. It re-affirms time.

September 12, 2008 - Friday This was what my Chinese Fortune Cookie had to say after we had dinner at the Cedar Garden Restaurant in Fernie, BC.

The Chinese Goodluck charms. You see these in all Chinese restaurants (I Think)

Ron was at the till paying for the Bill. Here is Frank waiting for us to get on our way home.

September 13, 2008 - Saturday Afternoon . Wilfred came for a visit in Elko. So we took him to the top of Rabbit Mountain. That was a wonderful sunny afternoon. The leaves of bushes and trees have started turning Orange, Yellow and Gold. Summer and Autumn combined in the air.

September 13, 2008 - Saturday - Edgar and Ron on top of Rabbit Mountain. Behind us is the little town of Elko.

The Elko Sawmill as seen from the top of Rabbit Mountain. This is where Ron works as a Lumber Grader. Very convenient. Only 3 minutes away from home.

Wilfred. Behind him is the Elko Sawmill

Leaves turning into fall colours.

September 14, 2008 - Sunday : I saw this signage of a Hair Salon and wondered why on earth would they choose this Name for their hair salon? Would you have your hair done there? Ha ha ha? Come in with a decent hairstyle and come out with your hair all tangled up? Ha ha ha ha.

Tangles Hair Salon - Funny name! Ha ha ha!

September 15, 2008 - Monday. On my way to the Kal-tire where I had my car Oil-changed and my tire fixed. So convenient. Only 5 minutes away on foot from home.

The Abandoned Elko School ground.

Our Street address in Elko, BC - Canada - Zip Code V0B 1J0

The Motel and RV park close by. Right next to it is the Kal-tire and the the Elko "Mall" hahahaha and gas station.

September 17, 2008 - Wednesday. On my way to class I dropped by to get some large Coffee. Very good drink. Keeps me awake in class.

September 18 , 2008 - Early morning. This is my mom's Photo on my Digital Photo Frame. I had it lit all night, along with a candle in her memory. It has been 2 years now. I miss her. I miss mama.

Woke up this morning September 18, 2008 - an hour and two years ago, The phone rang next to my bed and the news of her death. Life changes with the loss of someone we truly love and cherish. I know she is in a much better place - free of pain and sorrow. Only love. This love I have, I send out to the heavens. I know she will feel it. I miss mama.

When I got back from school at night, I spent 4 hours outside in this swing - in peace and quiet. Remembering all the good things I could think of about Mama. I also got to listen to some of her songs. "One day at a time", "500 Miles" and other songs that she used to know and sing. With my iPod, I got to re-read lots of the e-mails she had sent to me when she was alive. I don't feel sad anymore. I know God has his reasons. I just I miss her.

September 19, 2008 - Friday Afternoon. Ron and I travel to Alberta. We were going to meet Paul in Calgary and we plan to go on a hike tomorrow morning. I have decided (quietly as I did not want to make a "huge" drama about it) to dedicate that hike for Mama. I would wear the T-shirt of her and Me for that Hike in her memory. The last time I wore that shirt was at her funeral in 2006. I did not make this intention known. I just happily felt my joy for Ma.

Some farm lands in Alberta

Motorist on the side of the highway.

On the road. Checking my watch for time. We will arrive in Calgary at around 8:30 PM. It takes about 3 to 4 hours from Elko to Calgary.

Kananaskis Country Mountains. Somewhere there is the location for the Movie Brokeback Mountain.

We have finally arrived in Calgary. Ron did the driving. I prefer he drove in the city anyway. He knows Calgary like the back of his hand.

Captured Motion. We were driving to Paul's Apartment.

Paul and Ron talking about the plans for tomorrows Hike. Thanks for making such a wonderful dinner paul. Loved your Rice dish. it was excellent!

We went to Georgia's Place and found this for us from Carl the Painter. Isn't that so thoughtful? I am so glad our friends are kind and Generous - good people. This is above all what great treasure one can have in life. Priceless. Many thanks!
