Dealing with mama's death .... silence and Quiet Contemplation filled my month. Not much to say...just a pair of eyes watching the world....

Everything in your life is only lent to you and will be taken back sooner or later. Nothing belongs to you. Your body, your material possesions, even the people you love. So appreciate it, and learn to share the joy and blessings you get from it. ... Edgar Lorenzo Nievera

  1. Hello sa mahal kong pinsan! Thanks a lot for remembering my birthday. It means a lot to me. I haven't been in touch with you lately coz I know that you needed your personal space. Hope little by little, day by day you're learning how to cope up with your loss...and I hope you know that I'm always here for you.

Am on my way to work right now. Will keep in touch.

Take care and I love you.

  2. Ungga;

It took ages for my thoughts for you to be seen on the the printed page. I always find my fingers folding colored paper during idle moments at work. Wala kasing maikwento. Yun lang. I will be sending a collection of my origami favorites. These will be my birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, Valentine presents, and whatever occasion tsuba for you.

My mom has been home since the last week of July. No one in the office
knew about it. Had to keep silent because I did not want to be sent to my branch offices for periodic IELTS reviews. She will be back in San Francisco before the end of November. Your blog on your mom's life is an inspiration. I could
not picture how she was able to raise a family 'on her own resources.'

The only means now for me to learn from her is through you.

I have to go. I promise to always stay connected.

I love you. Keep yourself warm.

  3. Edgar,

I am very sorry to hear that your Mama has passed away. She was always kind to all of us, whenever we visited Baguio. Please keep in touch with us too, and send us or forward us any news from you all. Please extend our Sympathy to your brothers Tim and John-John too.

Take care! We came to visit in 2002, but I do not know if you remember us. Thank God that Liza forwarded your limk to my sister Pazzie, and Pazzie in turn forwarded it to all of us here in the USA.

Our family is getting smaller and is losing touch with each other. I hope that you will always keep in touch with us too.

Our thoughts and prayer are with you all, in this most difficult time. It is always very hard to lose a parent!!!

  4. my dear edgar,

Our internet connection had been down for several
weeks now. I did get your tribute to your mama, it was
and is beautiful. She was a beautiful person inside
    and out.

I can only imagine your pain and I am sad you have to
go through what you have to. Take your time and I am
just an e-mail away. Text me when it is okey to call
you and I'll call. I do not have any magic word to say
but maybe if I'll just listen maybe it will help.

    take care,
    Marlind's
