A new day begins. A new life. A new home.  the place is a mess. It's not really looking so good in here. No bed. The carpet was filthy, everything was old and dusty. Everything needed to be cleaned, but this will be our home. All it needs is some TLC.

We put all of our belongings in the bedroom. it was the storage area. it will have to be "camping" in our  new home until I get our apartment in decent shape. Ron and I are so happy. Finally - a home both of us put our energy into creating.

That very first morning - as new residents of Vancouver's west end, Ron and I decided we would grab some coffee from the nearby coffee shop and head down to the beach only less than 5 minutes away.

Ron and I found a spot, talking about what a wonderful journey we've both taken and feeling blessed for being here. What a beautiful first morning in Vancouver.

Ron and I spent quite a bit of time, sitting there by the beach - just enjoying and soaking in the moment. It was a magical time for me.

Here is a photo Ron had taken of me after having coffee at the beach. With a new key at hand and a new door to open, it was a spectacular moment. we are both so thankful.

Discussing concepts and looking for ideas for our new home in IKEA that day. There is going to be a lot to do. It will happen. It will be beautiful.

While cleaning our kitchen, I found some blackened utensils. I soaked it in a cleaning solution, scrubbed it clean and discovered silver! I have a feeling our new home is going to be like this. It just needs Ron and I - and it will be good as new.
